Primarius Launches Chip-Level HBM ESD Protection Analysis Platform ESDi™ & Power Device Design Verification Tool PTM™

Recently, Primarius officially launched its chip-level HBM analysis platform ESDi™ and power device design verification tool PTM™.
With the continuous shrinking in dimension and the advancement of chip integration, Electro-Static Discharge （ESD） has become an increasingly critical issue for IC reliability. Optimizing ESD not only enhences the reliability but also saves the chip area, improving market competitiveness. Meanwhile, the increasing application of various electronics and systems such as terminals, networks, data centers, and new energy vehicles has underscored the importance of power devices and PMICs for efficient and stable operations. These components demand professional reliable design and verification tools to optimize IC design.
Driven by a broad market demand and technological evolution in August 2023, Primarius acquired 100% stakes in the Belgian EDA company Magwel and integrated Magwel’s products and technologies into the company’s existing and future plans. Primarius and Magwel share a common goal of enhancing the market competitiveness of overall analog and power semiconductor solutions. It is the first official release of Magwel’s two products ESDi™ and PTM™ in the domestic market.

The platform offers HBM （Human Body Model) verification solutions applicable to various stages of the design process, including schematic level and chip level, and has been recognized and affirmed by leading chip design houses and manufacturers in the industry in years.
PTM™ is a suite of tools to enhance the design analysis of power device, recognized and adopted by the top-ranking power device IDMs and Fabless companies. It can extract Rdson with high precision and verify the device's switching behavior, ensuring the product's reliability and lifespan.
